Purple WiFi are delighted to announce that their Guest and Social WiFi and Presence and Location based services solutions have successfully completed Cisco IVT with Cisco WLAN Controllers.

Cisco IVT (Interoperability verification testing) means that both teams at Cisco and Purple WiFi have worked together to simulate typical customer configurations and test them thoroughly. Purple WiFi are now able to promote our products and technologies as “Cisco Compatible.”  Cisco customers faced with a choice between tested and un-tested products are likely to prefer a product that has gone through IVT. Cisco customers will be reassured knowing that Purple WiFi has been pre-tested, reducing integration costs, accelerating deployments and minimizing risk of failure.

The Solution Partner Program (until very recently known as the Cisco Developer Network) unites Cisco with third-party developers of hardware and software to deliver tested interoperable solutions to joint customers, harnessing the power and intelligence of the network.  As a Registered Developer, Purple WiFi offers a complementary product offering and has started to collaborate with Cisco to meet the needs of joint customers.

Purple WiFi are also a Cisco CMX (Connected Mobile Experiences) Ecosystem partner and have worked with the tools available with CMX to really bring those capabilities to life. Allowing WiFi users to log in via social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google and Instagram means that the venues can get more detailed customer reports and demographic information that is not available with CMX alone.
