Purple has won a prestigious award in Switzerland – Project of the Year at the Studerus Awards!
The win was announced as part of the recent Studerus Technology Forum event, which was held at the Movenpick Hotel Zurich Regensdorf last week.
The project was for KITAG Cinemas, the largest cinema operator in Switzerland. KITAG have 18,000 seats in 87 screens across nine different locations.
About the project
The KITAG Group pride themselves on setting the highest standards in the Swiss cinema industry, and are constantly looking at ways to introduce new technology to improve the customer experience.
One way of doing this was to introduce free guest WiFi in the cinemas. KITAG wanted the WiFi network to be reliable, as the 3G/ 4G connectivity inside the buildings wasn’t adequate for the high quality experience they strive for, and customers had to be able to get online. KITAG also wanted to reach out to the right customers, so they can be updated with relevant film information and offers on tickets, food and drinks.
One of our local certified resellers, Vision Inside AG, took on the project and successfully deployed Purple in Emmenbrücke, one of KITAG’s locations using ZyXel hardware.
Our Enterprise Account Manager for the DACH region, Roger Tyrzyk, worked closely with KITAG and said: ‘This project was a huge team effort and the customer is very happy. This is what Purple is all about. I am certainly looking forward to continue our great relationship with KITAG. Purple’s influence on the DACH market and also the interest in our solution is growing rapidly. We want to amaze our customers with our solution and it’s great to see that this is being recognised’.
Patrick Schneider, Project Manager, New Media “With Purple we have found a very reliable partner for the free WiFi which we offer in our cinemas! Our guests can log in with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or they simply fill out a registration form. They can then go online and view their online tickets in our foyer. The solution itself delivers us data which we use to offer our visitors the best possible experience.”
