At the center of Purple’s product offering lies data – this is something that has never changed; and never will.
We want our customers to be able to access the data they capture from within their physical venues – whether that is through guest WiFi, or other connectable data sources – more efficiently and at a much more granular level, and we want them to be able to segment and understand that data quickly.
Over the past year we have been working on developing ‘the new Purple’; a platform that allows our customers to do just that.
Why is it important?
You don’t need us to tell you how important data is in understanding your audience and improving business operations.
Knowing who your customers are and how they move around your venue allows you to personalize marketing campaigns, improve venue layout, and better manage staffing requirements – just to name a few.
All things that positively impact revenue.
Now, to say we have worked hard developing the new platform would be a massive understatement.
It’s been a huge project that has taken months of sweat, blood and tears.
Well… maybe not blood, but definitely sweat and a few tears.
Today, we are pleased to announce that the platform is now live and available to all our customers.
This is a huge achievement for Purple and something we are really proud of.
It’s by far the biggest launch in our history and puts us miles ahead of the competition; helping cement our position as the leading provider of WiFi analytics.
So, what’s new?
The new platform isn’t just a better or updated version of the old one – it’s a complete rewrite. A complete restructure.
It has taken over a year to complete.
A number of teams across the business have been involved but here feels like a fitting place to congratulate, and thank, the dev team for their relentless hard work.
We really have built this from the ground up, using new ideas and through enhancing new technology.
The biggest changes come in the form of appearance, speed and breadth of reporting.

We’ve changed the whole look and feel of the platform, creating a brand new user interface with a fresh and fluid user experience.
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to find, view and digest the information you need, and that’s why we made the decision to redesign the platform; aligning it with other leading marketing analytics tools.
Waiting for reports to load is now a thing of the past. You can now view large data sets with lightning speed.
Running a report of one million users now takes just a matter of seconds. Ok, so maybe not literally lightning speed, but that’s pretty fast!
Our reporting capabilities have evolved into a true enterprise-class analytics solution giving you unlimited customization of data.
There’s now 5940 different reports to be exact, allowing you to identify and understand customer trends in a number of different ways.
Now, if you want to look at the total number of users at a specific venue, across a given time frame, and filter those results by age range, device type and login method, you can.
The reporting functionalities really are endless.
