June 27 2016, London, 2016: Purple, the intelligent spaces company, today announced its partnership with Metronet (UK), providers of connectivity solutions to businesses across the UK.
Metronet (UK) is the UK’s leading alternative-technology Internet Service Provider and network operator. By leveraging a unique combination of fibre and wireless technologies the ISP delivers a range of solutions to businesses. They are frequently asked to supply WiFi in addition to wide area network solutions and an ongoing partnership with Purple has been forged as a result.
Using Cisco Meraki Access Point software, Purple’s analytics enable Metronet (UK) to provide customers with access to valuable and useful data. Metronet (UK) sell directly into specific sectors including Retail, Hospitality and Leisure. The analytics product enables clients in these verticals to engage with their customers seamlessly.
One of Metronet’s (UK) main routes to market is via their Landlord and Agent property channel. They work with landlords and agents to give customers access to high speed Internet connectivity in record-breaking time scales. This includes supplying WiFi for their tenants in communal areas and connectivity for intelligent buildings and BMS. The addition of Purple analytics allows them to extend the reach of these services.
Originally Manchester companies, both Metronet (UK) and Purple have experienced phenomenal growth within the tech community over a short period of time and share a similar ethos and values.
Bill Williams, Sales Director UK & Africa at Purple, comments: “We’re excited to be able to partner with Metronet and help provide analytics services across their Retail, Leisure and Hospitality sectors. In particular, the Purple offering will prove invaluable for their Landlord and Property Channel, creating a seamless WiFi and analytics package perfectly suited to the current market.”
Sarah Martin, Head of Commercial Property and On Net Sales at Metronet (UK) comments: “We are thrilled to launch our partnership with Purple. We strongly believe that this will be a key application in some of our primary sectors. Combining Purple with our Enabled Buildings strategy working with landlords and agents, will give everyone involved better, smarter services. Big data and IoT is at the forefront of technological development in the coming years and we are focused on enabling our landlords to tap into customer analytics that will allow them to interact more effectively with their clients.”
