Purple and Cisco team up to launch Better Together campaign

Purple, the intelligent spaces company, and Cisco, the largest networking company in the world, today announce the launch of their Better Together Campaign. Better Together allows Cisco partners that are signed up for solution led selling, and who also sell Purple, to benefit from an additional 4% discount stacked on top of other discounts, including hunting and teaming.

Cisco developed Solution Led Selling (or SLS, formerly called SIP) to encourage their partners to team up with ecosystem partners such as Purple, and develop more fully rounded solutions for their customers. All Purple product licenses are eligible for bundling, covering: Guest WiFi, Content Filtering and Location Services. The campaign targets Spain and the UK, but the offering and discounts are available across EMEA. All the partner has to do is to be signed up with Cisco for SLS with Purple.

What is the joined up solution?

Purple’s cloud software solution runs over the top of any Cisco or Cisco Meraki wireless solution. Purple is a tool that enables a space to become ‘intelligent’, by using data collected to better inform both the venue owner and the customer. The key thing about the joined up solution, is that it enables partners to talk to customers about more than just WiFi and the equipment and services that deliver it. Purple allows the partners to open up the conversation with customers to be more about digital transformation as a whole. Purple’s solution answers real business problems – for example, it enables venue owners to communicate with people in their space in an intelligent, mobile way, generating a return on investment and even creating operational efficiencies.

Supported by Comstor

From a channel perspective, Comstor have been an active part of the group and will be involved in pushing the ‘Better Together Campaign’, resulting in a mix of targeted marketing campaigns and partner promotions.

Gordon Thomson, MD, Data Centre, Collaboration and Networking Technologies, Cisco EMEAR, says:
“At Cisco we place huge importance on identifying the right ecosystem partners to team up with, in order to provide our customers with the best possible technology to supercharge their Cisco digital network architecture. Purple’s analytics and marketing solution has proved an excellent overlay to any Cisco or Cisco Meraki wireless foundation, extremely popular with customers because it generates real business outcomes. We’re excited to be launching the campaign and look forward to seeing more customers come on board with Cisco and Purple.”

Kerry Wright, Director of Alliances at Purple says: “The Better Together Campaign is a real milestone in our relationship. Many of our existing partners are already on board and have their own campaign plans ready to support it. Plus we hope that it will appeal to new channel partners, who can benefit from the 4% discount.”
