Purple shortlisted for International Company of the Year

Posted on | Updated on

We are pleased to announce that Purple have been shortlisted for the International Company of the Year Award (up to £10m turnover) at this year’s Insider North West International Trade Awards.

With the UK economy struggling and the government focusing on an export-led recovery, finding new markets overseas can be the critical factor between success and failure for businesses.

Insider’s International Trade Awards are designed to celebrate businesses and business leaders who are successfully exporting and bringing overseas investment into the UK.

Gavin Wheeldon, CEO of Purple, said: “We have worked hard to raise our global profile over the last couple of years and it is great to see that those efforts are being recognised.”

The award follows recent successes for Purple including winning The Judge’s Award for International Success at the 2018 Northern Tech Awards and a 28th place listing in the 2018 Sunday Times Tech Track 100.

The awards ceremony will be held at The Lowry Hotel on December 6. For more information, visit: Insider North West International Trade Awards.

Purple has been well established in the UK for over 6 years, however, in recent years the business has seen significant global year-on-year growth, largely down to the success of their US and APAC regions.

Earlier this year, Purple further expanded their operations in the US, appointing a new Sales Director (US and Canada) to drive further growth across the regions. The appointment came shortly after Purple announced a whirlwind 2017; during this time the company demonstrated a 367.2% increase in revenue compared to the previous year in America alone.

The Purple platform now has over 60 million users worldwide across 34,000 venues, and with offices in the UK (headquarters), US, Chile, Spain and Australia, Purple’s growth shows no sign of slowing.
