“Purple WiFi is an easy to use, functional piece of software with some interesting customer data. I particularly like that you can see how many times certain individuals have logged in – this is a really easy way to see loyal customers and reward them.”

About Inc Group

Inc Group employs 400 people across 14 venues in Greenwich, Canary Wharf, the City, Shoreditch and The O2. The experience that each venue provides varies from fine dining to relaxed drinking, and each restaurant, bar or club is a distinctive and memorable experience. The business prides itself on providing a high quality service and promises to exceed their customer’s expectations, whether they are grabbing a quick bite to eat or attending an elegant corporate function.

The business has installed Purple WiFi in two of its venues, and will be rolling this out to a further seven properties over the coming months.

The most successful installation to date has been in Madison, a restaurant, tapas and cocktail bar offering sensational views of St Pauls Cathedral. Within the first two weeks, over 300 people logged on to Purple WiFi at Madison, with the most popular log on method being Facebook.

Business objectives

“The main objective in taking the decision to install Purple WiFi in our first venue was to improve the experience for our customers when they come to log on. Customers across all of our venues expect to see free WiFi, and we wanted to make it as easy as possible for them to log on.

Of course, we’re also delighted with the impact we’ve seen on social media. Our Facebook page, in particular, saw an instant boost as soon as the system was installed. We’re keen to increase the awareness of our businesses through social media activity, and Purple WiFi will be of great support in this.”

Use of social media

“Our social media presence is currently somewhat slim for many venues. We use twitter and Facebook best at Madison. Madison has stunning views over St Paul’s Cathedral, so we’re able to share those beautiful views over Facebook, and of course it’s great when our customers do the same.

It’s quite surprising how powerful social media can be, and we make sure we support this with other marketing activity. With Purple WiFi installed across the majority of our venues, we expect to see an incremental growth for Facebook likes and Twitter follows, which at the end of the day, results in extra revenue for the company.”

Purple service

“The service we’ve received from James at Purple WiFi has been great, especially the pre-install online training program to get me up to speed on how to use the back end, Purple Portal system.  It’s an easy to use, functional piece of software with some interesting customer data. I particularly like that you can see how many times certain individuals have logged in – this is a really easy way to see loyal customers and reward them.

It’s been stress-free for our venues too, they’ve found the installation very easy – it’s simply plug and play.”
