Purple, the intelligent spaces company, today announced that Ebuyer, one of the UK’s leading online electrical retailers, has partnered with Purple to sell its various license types to businesses in all sectors.
Ebuyer delivers its products and services to over four million registered customers, with Purple’s solution now being sold via its dedicated business website. Purple’s WiFi and analytics platform is a complementary addition to Ebuyer’s existing product range, which includes networking, cloud and storage solutions.
Commenting on the addition of Purple to the firm’s portfolio, Toni Meehan, Business Support Manager at Ebuyer, said: “Ebuyer has identified an opportunity to develop its offer to the broad range of businesses it deals with daily. The partnership with Purple has great potential to enhance Ebuyer’s existing business relationships, while also helping us to attract new customers.”
The company has seen a significant rise in the number of requests for a WiFi and analytics platform like Purple, particularly from those in the retail and hospitality sectors. Customers in these verticals required a solution that would allow them to gain a deeper understanding of their clients and give access to effective, yet easy to use marketing tools.
Toni adds: “All growing businesses need to make full use of their marketing budgets by focusing the right activity at the right customers. Purple provides extensive customer profiles including demographic data and behaviour, enabling every business to execute the right marketing activities for their target audience.”
Customers were also requesting Purple’s solution as it enables them to increase their revenue by introducing features such as tiered bandwidth. This add-on allows venues to charge customers for using their WiFi or apply charges following a certain period of time or data usage.
The business development team at Ebuyer aim to sell Purple’s solution to 30-50% of leads per week, offering further growth for the WiFi and analytics provider. Purple now has 20 million users across 125 countries and works with a number of high profile brands including Legoland, Pizza Express and Century Link.
Amber Smith, Head of Business at Ebuyer, said: “We are constantly looking at ways to improve our world class operation by putting our customers and their needs at the forefront of everything we do. More than ever, businesses want to know who their customers are and the most effective ways to engage with them. By partnering with Purple, we can give businesses what they want and take our cloud and IT offering to the next level.”
Gavin Wheeldon, CEO of Purple, is delighted to welcome Ebuyer on board and said: “It’s great that Ebuyer has become a Purple partner due to customer demand. The firm has a large existing customer base which means there is huge potential for Ebuyer to upsell Purple’s cloud offering, particularly to those customers who have already showed a significant interest in using our solution.”
