Purple, the intelligent spaces software company, today announced the appointment of Mike Greig, as VP Americas.

Mike joined Purple in July 2015 as VP Service Providers, Americas. He has over 20 years of experience in technology and, before joining Purple, was VP Sales, Americas & EMEA at Smith Micro Software.  He developed and executed the company’s Latin America, North America and EMEA go-to-market and sales plan focused on tier one carriers, MSOs, PC-OEMs and broadband providers.

Mike’s new role will focus on growing the brand, increasing awareness and evangelizing Purple in the market. To achieve these goals, he will take on specific tasks including: expanding the team; developing a world-class partner plan to penetrate key verticals; and building managed services with the large and influential service providers.

The Americas market is ripe for Purple’s unique offer, with growth potential that is both exciting and achievable. Mike and his team are in a position to lead organizations on a journey to understand and implement intelligent spaces in a range of venues.

Mike is already building a fantastic group of highly experienced people to help him meet his goals.

Eric Law, VP Worldwide Sales, comments: “Since joining Purple Mike has been able to build the right partnerships to onboard a number of key Enterprise customers in a way that has positively impacted their revenue.  His breadth of experience will be key as he continues to engage with America’s largest service providers and top systems integrators as well as customers across the retail, hospitality, transportation and public sector space.

“We are confident that Mike is the right man to lead us onto impressive growth across our offices in LA, Phoenix, Atlanta and Columbus as well as Latin America as the demand for intelligent spaces grows.”

Mike Greig adds: “We want Purple to be the provider of choice to the large service provider market in the Americas. We will continue to lead while scaling exponentially through developing, deploying and going to market with bundled managed services.

“We live in a world of connected things, connected devices, people and venues. Spaces have gone digital, using technology as the engagement mechanism. The challenge for any business now is how to provide a truly digital space and get value back it? That’s where Purple ‘’changes the game.”
