Free WiFi access to all guests
Hotel Jerbourg’s Director, Paul Scambler, wanted to offer more to guests by providing free access to WiFi. The mobile device boom has meant that free WiFi is now considered an absolute necessity for many travellers.
Thanks to Guernsey firm Resolution IT, Hotel Jerbourg is now Guernsey’s best connected cliff top hotel. They have installed state of the art equipment to provide a fast, instantaneous connection through Purple WiFi. The hotel’s guests and patrons are able to enjoy unbeatable internet and new media access at any time of day or night.
How Resolution IT made it possible
A team of Resolution IT consultants worked with market leading solutions to upgrade the hotel’s entire IT infrastructure, both inside and outside the building. Within the building, the hotel’s current equipment was stripped out and replaced with enterprise level wireless access points and the latest VDSL connectivity to enable the fastest possible broadband speed. With the new systems introduced by Resolution IT, the hotel’s guests and clients are given equal and fair access to the massively improved bandwidth.
One of the most innovative ideas Paul wanted to implement was the provision of tablet devices for guests staying in their superior suites. So, Resolution IT configured Samsung tablet devices which provide access to the information guests require. The end result is a bespoke IT package with excellent WiFi coverage that puts the Hotel Jerbourg at the forefront of wireless communications technology.
Why Purple WiFi
One of the many reasons why Purple WiFi was chosen was the fast speed with which guests are able log in and get online. There are no long forms to fill in and no need to ask for the WiFi password, as customers can choose to login using their social networks.
Hotel Jerbourg wanted to provide WiFi to guests as a totally complimentary service, whilst also looking at patterns of footfall and the online behaviour of guests. This allows the hotel to create an engaging and highly targeted marketing campaign which enhances the customer experience during their stay.
