Purple the intelligent spaces company has been included as a representative vendor in the 2021 Gartner Market Guide for Indoor Location Application Platforms. Purple converts physical venues into intelligent spaces through the use of analytics, wayfinding, and presence and location technology. 

According to Gartner, “This past year saw a rising number of vendors in this market due to high demand for services such as social distancing, workplace safety, and general “return-to-work” technology. At the same time, existing indoor location services providers added a new solution or application to their offering, as well as leveraging new technologies for locationing such as 5G and new Wi-Fi standards” 

Purple’s platform covers a full range of analytics and location services aimed at helping businesses thrive in today’s competitive market by turning generic physical venues into intelligent spaces that optimize safety, enhance the visitor experience, and drive revenue. 

Purple presence and location allow businesses to monitor, track and report in real-time insight into things such as visitor numbers, social density, and the overall safety rating and cleanliness of a venue. 

The cloud-based platform provides an overlay to WiFi, 2D and 3D sensor hardware. When connected, occupancy and location data captured by the hardware feeds directly into a number of reports and dashboards within Purple’s online platform. When visitors enter, exit and move around a venue, they are counted, and their movement is monitored with precision accuracy, which allows businesses to automatically monitor occupancy, and analyze how visitors move around a venue. 

Gartner recognizes that the pandemic triggered interest in the retail and hospitality verticals for automated solutions that can provide real-time information of visitors.
